    Sure, I think you should experiment and get creative. You can do some good things with changing your depth of field if you have an SLR but that’s another tutorial for another time! Thanks for your interest. Happy shooting.

    Don’t forget to put your camera setting on macro. This “tells” the camera to focus up close. That way, you’ll get a closer depth of feild and your flower will be more sharp.

    Another thing you can do is try your flower shot in black and white and then shoot with a red or orange filter on, it will make for some interesting tone. If you don’t have a filter, try some coloured cellophane and a rubber band over your lens. A bit basic I know, but good if you are just starting out.
