www.twitter.com – Someone decided to print a digital photo, and then turn it into a work of art by placing it on canvas. They also applied styles to it to make it look as though it had been painted. If you look at it from a distance, it truly does look like it was painted by hand! Did you know there is software that you can use to make your digital photos look like works of art? chris.pirillo.com – http

Sounds like a pretty cool product, might have to try it on some of my macro photos.
I’m not a huge fan of effects filters in general but people seem to like when I apply them. Imostly I just do your standard noise reduction, exposure and temperature adjustments, cloning/healing, dodging/burning, curves, hdr, etc.

I use GIMP and don’t use any outside filters.

Hi Locker Gnome.. Can you educate us on how to get a good webcam and video editor if we have not much money to work with? (I have to save up money these days to get “toys”) I could really use your advice.

Hm well it sounds like it might be cool. But I’ll have to suffice with iPhoto + GIMP on Mac OS X and Arcsoft Photo Impression on Windows.
