Guitar Tutorials: Things To Consider ...

What is a Jedi Master with no lightsaber or Magnum PI without his Ferrari? Have you seen Pamela Anderson without her boots?

You need a great axe if you want to became a great guitar player. That doesn’t have to be a 1960’s Gibson or anything but it needs to fulfill a few basic requirements.

What am I saying?Read on and find out. I have a few words of wisdom if you look for advice on this topic.

So if you want a quick answer here’s the deal. Purchase the best axe you can for the following reasons.

If it sounds good and feels good you will play it more often and that’s why you bought the guitar in the first place isn’t it? The last thing you want is to spend money on a instrument that doesn’t inspire you to play and end up giving up on music.

When the time to upgrade comes, be aware of it, your instrument will have a greater resale value and you’ll have a good deposit for the new guitar.

If you don’t have a big budget then I suggest you beg, borrow or steal a guitar. There are loads of guitars lying around gathering dust and I’m sure you will be able to find one if you ask around. Take initiative, get a guitar and in the meantime start saving so that you can get one of your own!

What if you already own a guitar and it’s not good what do you do then? Well get a guitar technician to ook at it, see if you can pimp it a bit and change strings on it and you’re good to go. An average guitar with a good setup can be a good start. And a bad instrument is better than no guitar at all.

Remember that most importantly you get your hands on a guitar and start practicing. So don’t delay and get going as soon as possible and you’ll soon be able to play all the songs you like. I suggest you get good easy guitar lessons and follow the examples as much as you can. to have good guitar tutorials is key for your development as a guitarist.

Pencil Drawing Lessons Improve Paintings

In ancient times, oil painting artists use charcoal to draw the outlines of the subjects first before anything else. They then use a brush to brush off the excess charcoal so that the dust don’t contaminate the painting. This act alone leaves a faint guideline for the artist to complete the painting.

Since a long time ago, artists have employed the use of simple drawing techniques to produce quality paintings. Without a strong drawing foundation, many things could go wrong in the process, and the final end result may not be ideal. Let’s take a look at what can go wrong.

For a start, to paint a spontaneous drawing, artists are often encouraged to draw over guidelines instead of just tracing over them. Tracing makes the painting look mechanical and unnatural. Therefore, strong drawing skills are still required, even though there are already guidelines to follow.

Having a strong foundation also allows the artist to correct anything on the drawing as they work. That’s because they are not just tracing blindly and are actually creating a new painting, guided by the existing lines on the canvas.

All the better artists know this, and they make sure they take the time to build a strong drawing foundation before moving on to more advanced drawing or painting techniques.

And when you think about drawing foundations, what could be better for building a strong foundation than pencil sketching? Rough pencil sketches are easy to produce and trains the eyes and mind to look out for mistakes in a drawing. The more the artist practises, the better he becomes.

Drawing can be a huge challenge at times, and learning to draw soundly can be overwhelming. There are thousands and thousands of subjects to choose from, and there are all kinds of perspectives to practise on. So it’s important that the artist treats drawing as a journey and not a destination.

On this journey, the artist may constantly have to hone his or her drawing skills with regular sketches. If you feel uncomfortable drawing with pencil at times, maybe it’s a good time to consider taking up some pencil drawing lessons to strengthen your drawing foundation.

There are some artists who work exclusively with pencils and they have often demonstrated great skills. Take a few moments to observe the drawings of these great pencil artists and learn from them.

Your drawing foundation will strengthen your overall drawing and painting ability so that you can take on and overcome more complicated painting challenges. At the end of the day, you’ll be glad that you’ve taken the time to sharpen your pencil drawing skills.

Ultimate Guitar Tab

There are many places to find free guitar tabs online. Some of these ultimate guitar tab websites are free, while others charge a fee.

Before you join a pay ultimate guitar tab website, you should first try out and download several of the free services until you find one that is best for you. These pay sites have a huge selection but that also comes with a very steep price.

One of the fastest ways to learn how to play a song is by learning from an ultimate guitar tab book. Although learning the chords and scales is beneficial, this takes a lot of time. Both methods help build finger strength and coordination.

Sometimes it can take days or weeks to learn a song with just the chords and scales. However, with an ultimate guitar tab book, you can learn some of the notes to your favorite song in a few hours.

Guitar tab is usually said to be a huge shortcut to learning how to play the guitar. You can learn songs quicker, but in the longer term it is maybe better to learn the chords and scales so you can learn how to play any song.

The guitar tab is simply a shortcut that many folks use when they really want to learn how to play a song quickly. Instead of spending hours blundering with the chords and scales and going from your chord book to the sheet music, you can learn how to play a song faster by learning an ultimate guitar tab song.

Another advantage of ultimate guitar tab is that you can see precisely what notes are being played in a particular song. You can play any song precisely as it was written. Playing a song with just the chords rather than the precise notes makes the tune sound similar, but not precisely how it was written.

Some people are able to find those rare notes that are hidden behind bass and drums, but most people can not. If you learn from an ultimate guitar tab sheet you are able to pick out all of those notes that most people cannot hear otherwise.

You can really impress any person you like by playing the notes to their favorite song to them in a couple of minutes. There is not any faster and simpler free way to teach yourself how to play the guitar than by learning an ultimate guitar tab transcription.

Stan has written another very practical article that you can read before you download anything online, so make sure you check Stan Stewickivas poston ultimate guitar tab music for the rest of this article. For a very short time you can visit us to receive your free easy ultimate guitar tab download.

Using The Grid Method To Learn How To ...

Are you learning how to draw or paint? Do you want to take it to the next level? Good! First you need to have some general drawing skills, or at least know how to fake it. One of the best methods to hone your drawing and painting skills is to use the mentioned grid method. By using a grid to help you along, it makes it a lot easier for you to get accurate lines, proportions, and a more realistic image that you are drawing or painting.

Using the grid method, you are also able to recreate small images into large masterpieces. For example, with the grid method, you would break down your small image into sections, and then re-draw or re-paint each section step-by-step until you have the larger version completed.

The grid method is done using a ruler and creating a grid of equal squares that is placed over a reference picture or photo. The squares in the grid can be any size such as one half inch or one inch. Now draw another grid on your painting surface. The grid on the painting surface can be the same size as on the reference photo or it can be larger or even smaller. It just depends on how large or small you want the painting to be.

One problem that you may encounter is using a reference image that you simply cannot draw a grid on for whatever reason, in this case you would simply use a transparency film and then overlay that over your source image. Just remember to fasten your transparency film so it doesn’t move around, as that would defeat the purpose of using the grid method in the firs place. One final tip is to keep your grid as light as possible, as you will either erase it or draw over it in the process of creating your masterpiece.

So there you have it, once your grid has been finished, it’s time to draw or paint your final image. Work one square at a time and you’ll do just fine, and work methodically from left to right, or right to left, that’s up to you.

You have now taken a complex subject and literally broken it down into manageable pieces. Have fun and don’t be afraid of drawing because with the grid method, drawing is made easy.

Many artists ask me how to draw a car step by step, and my instruction is always the same… follow my simple and easy to follow instructions, enjoy yourself, and you’ll be well on your way to draw a car, perfectly, first time, every time.

Beginner Drum Lessons DVD: Private ...

A drum solo is an individual’s creative expression when playing the drum kit. It is the ability to create a percussive piece that adds depth to a song and to showcase one’s talent. Many famous drummers such as Billy Cobham, Neil Pert, Elvin Jones, and Jon Bonham have highlighted their expertise by performing incredible pieces. Great solos can be performed by anyone as long as there is room for imagination.

This is your spotlight where you can command everyone’s attention. Make sure there is a purpose for each stroke of the drum stick. Your drum set will not play by itself, you are the creator, make some noise. It is not necessary to create a masterpiece performing a solo. By keeping the solo precise and to the point, your creation can be of any length given the flow of the performance. Now is the time to take your listeners on a percussive journey that they will never forget.

It is important that a drummer or buyer of drum sets is aware of how to assemble them properly. Unless assembled in the right way, chances are that the drums will not sound correct, and the drums themselves could be damaged. Drum sets usually come with step-by-step instructions on how to assemble them.

Drum heads are also popularly known as the drum skins. The most important preservation of any drum kit is proper maintenance of this part. As a drummer, whether you are a professional or just a beginner, you should properly maintain the drum skins to extort a great sound out of the drum kit.

Some days use your entire practice time on developing your tuning skills. You want to know each of your drum’s best sound. You need to be able to hear it in you mind so when you tune a drum to that sound you will know it.

Before you get started, be sure to do warm-up exercises for drum set playing. Generally speaking, drum set exercises would refer to rudiments or chops but the information that is being presented to you has to do with warming up the body before any drumming.

I was informed that Mike Mangini (the world’s fastest drummer and record holder “gulp”) would be the judge. I was also told that the regional winner would be sent (for free) to winter NAMM for the chance to qualify (again) for the final 10 positions at “World’s Fastest Drummer Finals” to be held there. I must say, I liked the idea of a free trip for 2 to California and NAMM in the winter. But I really had no expectations – since I knew essentially nothing about how to improve my drumming technique, speed and endurance.

Use the Web! The internet has become a tremendous source of information over the last 20 years. It can be used for finding drum lessons, drum teachers, drum fills, drum shops, drum links directories, artist pages, manufacturers’ sites, drum clinic dates, and even drum forums and newsgroups covering just about every drums and percussion subject you can imagine.

Finally! The whole unbiased truth about drum beats exposed. You owe it to yourself to visit beginner drum lessons dvdand get the facts today.

Career Options Available: Performing Art ...

In the medieval times, anybody who was not well versed in any sort of dance form be it a classical dance form or a traditional dance form was considered not to have been born under a dancing star. The idea that there was a star, which controlled the ability of a person to dance, in itself shows that any sort of dance form is an integral part of the social, ethical, traditional, and cultural heritage of each and every civilization out there.

It just might be a rhythmic jumping to the beat of the bongo drum, shaking your spear in a rhythmic fashion or it might be doing your own thing, flinging your hands about in an exuberant display of ecstatic emotion, signifying “I am so happy I want to dance.” Or, you might want to “dance with somebody throughout the night”, or just “dance all lonesome on your own some.”

There are plenty of dance forms out there, which have come down through the centuries, in a traditionally unbroken form in the shape of classic dances like ballet and the waltz. On the other hand, there are comparatively modern dance forms, like hip-hop, jazz, acro, break dance, tap dancing, the Charleston, the cha-cha-cha, and other such dance forms, which have come out from traditional art forms and taken their own shape. The idea is creativity, and flexibility of your body, and the way to use it to make the audience feel, “yes, here is a dancer, who understands rhythm and can express some emotion through the medium of dance.”

For those that love dancing, there are fortunately many career paths available. You can choose to train other dancers in styles such as Highland Dance, waltz or tango and get them ready for upcoming dance form specific competitions. These competitions focus on just one type of dance style and therefore you know what you’re getting into. If you feel capable of training a group of dancers to perform something like a Highland Fling, then go and do so.

One of the most important careers in the field of dance is choreography. It is hard for anyone to imagine a musical performance not being choreographed. Take the famous musical play Cats as an example. Although the Cats may know how, when and what to sing, without choreography they would not know how and where to place hands and feet. A choreographer must know about all aspects of dance. Otherwise, the choreographer would not understand basic things and wouldn’t be able to provide the performers with valuable tips to improve their performance. This could be, for example, instructing a singer to raise an arm up in the air so that the lungs, chest and diaphragm have more room. This expansion allows a singer to hit the famous high C note. If you feel comfortable with the idea of coordinating all aspects of a performance, including dance, song and rhythm then seriously consider becoming a choreographer.

Another option for those wanting to work in the performing arts is ballroom dancing. This career path will allow you to travel around the world and participate in competitions where you can win prizes. Latin dance competitions are also open for professional performers, as well as traditional dance competitions. Other possibilities include dance instruction, dancing coach, Pilates teacher or yoga instructor.

Learn How to Play Drums DVD: Your ...

These exercises are great for relaxing the neck muscles. When doing head warm-ups be sure to maintain good posture and execute them slowly. This is to be emphasized for all of the other exercises as well to prevent injury.

BUT, I did win; with a score of 956 beats in 60 seconds! It wasn’t my best score up to that point, but at least I was now going to the International Fastest Drummer finals qualifications and NAMM. And I had about 2 months to practice! An important part of drum playing is relaxed breathing. A good warm-up, whether you are sitting or standing, is to take a slow, deep breath, filling the lungs with air.

After the seating of the heads, the brass drum lug screws should be fitted properly and subsequently the tom toms have to be mounted. While assembling the different toms, it is important to consider the lengths of the lug screws as larger toms require longer lug screws and smaller ones require smaller screws. The other pieces that have to be assembled include the bass pedal and stands such as high hat stand, cymbal stands and snare stands.

Some would say that it’s a secondary rhythm section (second line) that answers the calls of a “first-line” rhythm section in a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade. The first line would play a rhythm and the “second line” would respond to it, others will tell you that it’s just something that comes from New Orleans music and involves a marching snare rhythm: They’ll admit that they don’t know where it comes from but they’re quick to show you an example of how they think it’s played.

Play “heel up” on the bass drum for more power and speed. The heel down bass drum technique will work but requires a bit more effort. Also, it’s easier to play heel up technique with quick drum fills.

Cost: An important determining factor would be the amount you are willing to spend. Drum sets cost anywhere from $100 up to a custom built set of $6,000 or more. Most sets do not come equipped with hardware such as cymbal stands, cymbals, and kick pedals which can add to the cost, so it is best figure out your reason for the purchase and all that you need to complete the full drum kit.

Foot warm-ups, in a sitting position, raise your right foot off the floor about 10 inches. Point your toes away from you as far as you can, then point them towards you as much as you can. In a circular motion, rotate your foot to the right, then rotate to the left, repeat this exercise 4 times. After you have completed this for the right foot, do the same for the left foot.

After the seating of the heads, the brass drum lug screws should be fitted properly and subsequently the tom toms have to be mounted. While assembling the different toms, it is important to consider the lengths of the lug screws as larger toms require longer lug screws and smaller ones require smaller screws.
